  1. Does anyone have any good ideas for a Baisakhi assembly? All ideas would be greatly appreciated

Maybe reenact it? A fake bloodied sword, a few planted kids in the audience? Could be good fun.

  3. Hi,
I think I replied to an earlier post with a similar question but as a Sikh myslef, I don't think the reinactment of the historical event is appropriate for children. Unfortunately the true meaning of Vaisakhi is often forgotten given most people focus on whatever they find on the internet.
I would suggest either a Spring-like concert show casing the characteristics of Vaisakhi growing (courage, determination etc.) - my forthcoming book reflects this story. Or you can celebrate by making lion masks or having a crown day, showing all children how special they can be.
Please feel free to email me for more info www.navjotkaur[dot]com
    Hope this helps!
