    Here is the short list:

Has anyone read any of the books? I was part of the way through 'A Little Life' but my arms got sore with the weight of the great tome. I have the Anne Enright book. It will be the first book I have read by her. I decided to go ahead and download 'The Glorious Heresies'.

Yes - sort of ! I really ' The Inhertiance of Love ' - this was a Simon Mayo R2 Book Club suggestion but gave up on the Anne Enright and the Lisa McInerney ( sp ? ) . Both were from the library so no loss. The former was just too boring / Irish (and I am a very lapsed Catholic and the subject matter does not appeal ) and the latter too bleak though I appreciate they have been well reviewed. I suspect they also reminded me of Roddy Doyle - the only novel I have enjoyed from him was 'The Van '
