Baby hammocks

Discussion in 'Pregnancy' started by FoundationStage!, Jun 12, 2011.

  1. I posted this on Baby and Toddler but haven't had any responses. I have been wondering if anyone has used a baby hammock with a newborn. I
am very interested in buying one for my first baby. They are apparently
a good transition from the womb to a flat bed. In the past I always
expected to buy a Moses basket (much cheaper though!) but I like the
swaying motion and enclosure of baby hammocks. Also they are supposed to
follow the C-curve of baby's spine. I would love to hear your thoughts
and experiences. I have been looking at the Amby Natures Nest hammock for daytime sleeping and Bednest baby cribs for partial co-sleeping at night. Neither of them are cheap so I will be scouring eBay, Gumtree and NCT nearly new sales between now and January!
    Thank you [IMG]

  2. I am meant to be planning for next week but you keep putting distracting posts up. Now the thought of something to help baby sleep sounds too good to be true and I now want a amby baby nest.
They can be used until 1 year old so really not that expensive and lots on ebay.
Do you think you can buy a new matress though? They don't sell them on the site but on ebay someone had measurements so I guess you could?
You and I are going to have lovely contented sleeping babies who nod off at the first sound of little bola chimes, in their little nests, in their reusable nappies :)

Now I need to go and do proper work!
