Just procrastinating as that's what one does best the day before school - rather than actually getting ready for school. Just thought I would open up a little debate about what people in specialist provision think about attendance data? Also are you pushed in your settings to reach goalposts of 96% + if you have children with complex medical conditions? How realistic is that? Are the families of your children with additional needs sent letters regarding their attendance (even if it is low in relation to their needs) ? Also - I would like personally an attendance code that states "emotional and mental health" as severe anxiety is an illness but not recognised as one! All thoughts welcome - you may well disagree totally with my views on it all - it's very school political - I just find it interesting and frustrating!
