Have a similar post in careers, but would like a different perspective, if possible? I have worked in my school for 7 years in the south east, and made the decision to move on at the end of this academic year. As a recently qualified ICT AST, I held a co-ordinator's role (Not HoD, more ICTAC) and a very brief stint in charge of KS3 before that. In the long term I would like to be an assistant head though I am aware I lack experience in managing teams.Ideally I would like to move on sideways to another AST role as I have been school-based and find the outreach work of potential interest. Does anyone know what the jobs demand would be in the south east, including possibly in and around London? Should I find another AST role or also consider a HoD job to pave the way to senior management one day? Thanks in advance for any contributions.
