Assistant Head + SEN allowance

Discussion in 'Primary' started by okeefe.p, May 8, 2012.

  1. I am applying for an assistant head position at my current school. I am SENco at present. It s advertised as L5-9. Would I take My SEN point too or would I just be on the leadership scale without my SEN point?

Surely you would cease to be SENCo if you become AHT?

  4. No it's a major role within our school so I would lead on that along with assessment. I would not be class based.

  5. If you were on the leadership spine you would not get any TLR in addition, but your salary will almost certainly still increase, even if you started on L5.
