Assessing maths in Sept - KS1 help please

Discussion in 'Assessment' started by whowhatwhy, Aug 19, 2011.

  1. I have new role as KS1 co-ordinator from Sept and I am looking for a really effective baseline test/set of activites/checklist that could be used to give a really accurate baseline for the children in all aspects of maths.
I have searched on the interent and found some published schemes and also some free things from LEA websites but looking for advice from others as to what they use.
School is due a HMI inspection in Oct so need to show how we are measuring progress from accurate starting point and how we are going to build on this throughout year. As maths results was part of reason for going into SM I would really appreciate some help/advice.
    Thanks in advance
  2. Hey,
I am in the same postion year now as you were last. Did anyone get back to you? What did you do and was it effective?
    Any help would be great
