AS Lit AQA A Struggle for Identity Paper Jan

Hi,

I have just seen this and I am livid with the board. It is such an obscure extract to ask pupils to do and so different in difficulty compared to the summer one. After the disaster of the first summer paper, I thought they had learned but this paper has left my pupils in tears. Who on earth prepares them for a business memo?!?! Anyone else feel like this?

Just wondering what everyone's results are like? Ours are pretty poor Out of 7 resits, 5 stayed the same. One went from a C to an A and one went from a D to a C.
I'm recalling the papers. I wish AQA would decide exactly what they want this unit to look like - at no point in my revision did I consider looking at Business Memos as a text to critique.
Poor kids.
