  1. Just had to go and see someone from the Job Centre. While I was there I rang someone regarding a job (part time and term time only) in a day nursery. She said they were looking for someone with the Level 3 NVQ NN qualification. The gentleman at the job centre then replied 'let's book a time to go through your CV'.

    I'm becoming very cynical and I can't see me ever getting a job - anywhere. [​IMG]

    Oh, how I share the frustration!
    My only suggestion is to print off a copy of your CV & a table of qualifications in 'order of priority' showing how your teaching qualificationis actually above NVQ!
    But then he'd probably say 'You're overqualified!'
    Just go ahead & apply, if you want it put in a good application & if you don't just a 'standard one'.
    My son's friend had 3 CVs & 3 types of applications depending on whether he wanted the job or not!
