Are you taking a break from tuition over the summer holidays?

Discussion in 'Private tutors' started by Krayzie, Jun 9, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I started tutoring back in October 2010 (ks1 & 2) alongside working full time and have been back-to-back since then (tutoring mainly all Saturday morning's until early afternoon). Whilst I really enjoy it, I was hoping to have a break over the summer holidays but I have had a few new requests come through for tuition over the summer break. So, my question is - do you take a break in the summer holiday? I'd really like some time off but now I'm not so sure as I don't know what next term will bring!
    Thanks
    Krayzie

  2. I'm taking a break from the 22nd July 2011 - 22nd August 2011.
The children will then have a lesson before they return to school.

I teach full time too. I hardly ever tutor in the holidays. We work hard enough as it is. With your new requests, I would start them the week before you go back to school in Sept. Make the appointment now so you don't lose them.
