All day long these cute fluffy little birds twist their heads and look at me.

What if they were dirty communist spies?

    What a pertinent point.

Can I add, from my own experience, the chilling danger of becoming drawn into a personal relationship with a blackbird? What seems to be an innocent affair turns into a desperate honey trap and the betrayal of one's country!

You know that strange little flicker you see in the top right of your screen when you refresh a TES page?

That's a blackbird spying on you.

However, they may not be Russian.

The USA's supersonic spy plane of choice for many years was [drum roll]

    The SR-71 Blackbird.

Those robins. They're left wing spies. They disguise themselves as sparrows by wearing brown vests.

It's the ones that sing in the dead of night you need to watch out for, they are passing on information to their owl handlers.
