AQA vs Edexcel vs OCR Linear Maths

Discussion in 'Mathematics' started by Joe R, May 5, 2012.

  1. As we consider the new Linear Maths specs. for this autumn, what are people's opinions on these exam boards? We are interested in question style, content, grade boundaries, support available etc.

  3. EdExcel do seem to have been innovators in much of the support that goes alongside mathematics exams.

EdExcel did make a play on their exams being 'more accessible' (or 'we design exams to let students show what they know') than some other exam boards.

Some people take this to mean 'easier' papers (but clearly that's only half the picture as it's also important to look at mark boundaries for grades).
