AQA Personal Survival

Discussion in 'Physical education' started by chalky73, Feb 25, 2012.

  1. Would anybody be able to suggest appropiate 'scenarios' for the Key Process B element of Personal Survival. I'm aware of the core skills but am not sure how to integrate them in to two different scenarios. Additionally I don't know how far a 'lengthy' swim should be? (as suggested in the spec!)
    Any guidance much appreciated!
  2. Scenario should be approx 3mins

We make ours do about 6 mins!

Think of it like a gym routine, linking the moves together to show consistency and effectiveness under the pressure of fatigue.

E.g. tuck entry, swim 50m, head first surface dive, swim with object 50m, tread water, feet first surface dive, 10m underwater swim, skulling feet first and changing direction, 25 m swim HELP position, exit the pool.
