Hi I have recently been appointed as a new HOD in my school and am changing the A Level NEA to Civil Rights in the USA either from 1865 - 1965 or 1900 ish to 2009. Having never taught this for A Level before, I am not sure what books to use for the AO3 historians. Obviously I am aware (having taught Russia and Tudor NEA before) that students cannot use A Level textbook authors and must use academic Historians. Does anyone have a bibliography and a list of websites as a starting point? I am trying to get together a box of books and bank of resources for the students. Any help gratefully received. Thank you
