AQA LITB3 Comparative Coursework recommendations

Discussion in 'English' started by ramshackles, Jun 16, 2011.

  1. Hello,
I am currently in the process of planning for next year and I am looking for recommendations of paired texts that work well for the LITB3 comparative coursework essay.
Can you please suggest any that you have found to be particularly fruitful?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you any preliminary thoughts about what you might like to do?

You mean LITB4, I assume. WE choose a topic and a long list of texts and then let them choose from that. Last year, the theme was childhood so we had The Kite Runner, Jane Eyre and a mix of others. This year, we're doing utopian and dystopian fiction.
The moderator's report has always been very complimentary about the approach we take, and we also find that it works well.
