    Hello,

I'm teaching Imagined Worlds - The Lovely Bones at AS Level. It's the first time I've taught AS Level so I'm finding it quite difficult.
I've been following the SOW suggested by AQA but wondered if anyone had any advice / suggestions?

    Thanks.

Maybe ask your HoD to order some resources for the novel?

Every single time I teach a new novel, I prefer to read it at a quick pace (when teaching A-level), with a few chapter discussions, extract analysis and etc. Once we finish the novel, we will go through it by using Assessment Objectives and usually spend a week (2 or 3 lessons) on each central thing; plot, characterisation, theme, setting, language, form and structure.

We were going to pick AQA for English Lang/Lit but resources looked profoundly scarce so we opted to stay with Eduqas.
