Has anyone used the AQA KS3 Test Packs/assessments and come up with grade boundaries which they have found matched their teacher assessments?

With five teaching weeks left before the results come out in the summer surely you may as well just not think about it and wait...

But this is for KS3, not Y11. Plus, we need to enter end of year exam grades.

Hello Elphaba, did you get any further with this? I've just been set the task of coming up with grade boundaries for the Y8 paper.

I developed this table for the ks3 test packs using previous grade boundaries as indicators and hours of moderation. It seemed to work with our students and fitted with where we thought they were (based on our best guestimates!). It tops out at grade 6 bearing in mind that although the mark scheme is the same as GCSE, the texts are easier and so in theory children should perform better. It may be completely wrong, but hope this helps as a starting point for you:

    Marks GCSE Level
    0-13 0
    14-25 1
    26-34 2
    35-45 3
    46-55 4
    56-65 5
    66+ 6
