AQA iGCSE 8705

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by clare312, Sep 14, 2011.

  1. Having signed up for GCSE English at the local college, the course has been changed to AQA iGCSE 8705, this seems to be a new qualification and does not count towards school league tables yet, although they hope it will after this year. My question is, is this still equivalent to GCSE English for PGCE/GTP purposes?
    Cheers,
    Clare

  2. Yes, we can confirm that this qualification has been accredited by Ofqual as level 1/2, which is the equivalent of a GCSE.
For more information please see the AQA website.
