AQA GCSE Food Preliminary Material

    Put a few resources re pasta on the Resources here.
    I'd get them making pasta and do a taste test/cooking test/ease of prep test with them.
    I did this with one class and one boy made black vampire shaped pasta in a blood red tomato sauce.

I usually make sure that I do a couple of practice practicals with the students which they love, this one will be making pasta from scratch, using the pasta machines, designing their own flavours ie, rolling fresh herbs into the sheets etc, making different fillings for ravioli and sauces to go with it. They will hopefully enjoy this and will learn the recipes ready for the design task. They spend time sketching and annotating their designs. I spend a fair amount of time on the design task as it gives them confidence going into the exam.
