AQA GCSE coursework

Discussion in 'Media studies' started by talkingbubbles, Sep 9, 2011.

  1. Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding the requirements...

It states in the spec that "Candidates must cover at least three discrete media
    forms/platforms."

Does this mean I could do:

-Print advertising from Assignment Bank 1

-Film promotion (trailer + web) from Assignment Bank 2

-Magazine (Print) from Assignment Bank 3

Would this cover what is expected by the board?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
That is exactly what we do for AQA Controllaed Assessment, only we study film posters instead of the web :)

  3. Thanks for the quick response....that's much more reassuring. So what exactly do they mean by covering at least three discrete media forms/platforms? Print in advertising and print in magazines and then print in terms of film poster....wouldn't they all count for one platform? I always find the way things are phrased very confusing.
