AQA A-level Physics Syllabus B

Discussion in 'Science' started by lizz9999, Aug 25, 2011.

  1. I have just agreed to tutor a Year 13 boy who was disappointed in his AS level results. He said he was doing AQA. No problem I thought. I teach OCR A but mark for AQA A. Minor issue - famous last words. It transpires that he does the syllabus B. I have no experience of this. It looks like a good course, might consider it in the future.

Anyone out there who teaches this syllabus who could give me a few pointers about common pitfalls. I assume they just make a mess of the longer, wordy questions due to lack of organisation of thoughts before beginning. But would love to have some more info. Am charging 25 quid per hour after all. Would be good if I had some idea what I am talking about.

Just out of interest while I am on, what do other people charge for tutoring? Am I selling myself short or taking the mick?
