We are really struggling with the 200 year rule as we are all modern historians in the department. We have decided to do unit 3 on the Tudors. However, we know little of the historiography of the period to be able to guide them in choosing suitable topics for debate, especially as they need two conflicting interpretations of an issue which can be contrived to cover approx 100 years.
Can anyone suggest relevant (and conflicting) historical views on suitable topics i.e. on the Reformation; witchcraft; power of the monarchy; government & rebellion; the poor ... those sorts of things.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
