I am really happy and just want to share my happiness! [IMG]
As many of you know, I started my dream job in a small indepedent school last September and I have honestly never been happier.
I have just had my first full appraisal (part one was last term and I passed with flying colours). Part 2 was this term.
Appraisal involves SMT dropping in to 3 - 4 lessons over half a term, unannounced, for 20 minutes or longer. No pre-planned, choreographed, all singing all dancing stuff, just what you do normally.
My appraisal was fantastic! I was told how well I'd fitted in to the school, how happy thery are with me, how valued a member of staff I've become and how much the students think of me. I was asked what my targets were and how the school could help me achieve them. Finally, I was thanked for all my hard work.
I came out with a smile on my face and a spring in my step and ready to go that next extra mile for my students.
Why can't all schools be like this?

Yes, I've worked hard but I've also enjoyed every minute. But it makes such a difference to be hear those simple words 'thank you for what you've done'.

    Start again!
Belle this is such good news!
I know that it was Your Dream School when you applied, and again when you got the job, and yet again when you started working there.
But now it seems that you are Their Dream Teacher!
    A match made in Heaven . . .
    Best wishes
