  1. I have now been qualified for 5 years and so far have only had temporary maternity cover jobs. When I apply for jobs I just seem to get nowhere - not even invited for interview. The feedback I get from doing supply is that I am a good teacher, I did well at uni, got a good degree, passed all my TP with flying colours, love teaching, want a permanent job. Can anyone out there please offer me some advice about composing my supporting letter, filling in my application form. I am getting desperate now and am thinking of giving up on the teaching and doing something else, anything else, as long as I get paid over the holidays. Being a single parent and not having summer work is great for childcare but not for funding summer activities. Looking forward to hearing your advice. Thanks.
