Applying for English school jobs after training and teaching in Wales exclusively...

I was really hoping to seek some advice/experiences on how an application might be received by English schools from someone who has trained and taught in Wales. Are there any pros/cons of such applications? I have seen two jobs advertised that look very interesting - one is in an academy. The bottom line - has anyone been successful in such a venture, or am I wasting ink?
