Application form help

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by zm2010, Feb 16, 2012.

  1. Hi

If on the application form you have to list your current teaching job then would it be ok for trainee teachers to write down their current placement school? Or is it best to just leave that information in the education section?

Put it in the teaching posts employment part, but make it pretty clear that it is a TP. Many application forms, in the notes, actually tell you to do this when you are still doing your PGCE or BEd.
HOWEVER: once you are applying for your second post, after your induction year, the TP slides back into oblivion, unless there is a very good reason not to. For example if you are currently teaching in a mixed school, are applying for a boys-only, and one of your placements was in a school like that.
    Best wishes
