OK, so this thread is probably a bit random, but, in the process of sifting through brochures to book this year's holiday, I was reminded of a Blue Peter travel expedition from, oooh, it must be around 1975 (give or take a couple of years).
Anyway, I can't for the life of me remember where the team (I'm pretty sure it was John Noakes, Lesley Judd and Peter Purvis) went - or why, but they bathed in the most beautiful, stunning pool I have ever seen! I don't know if it was natural or man made, but it was 'free form' and probably a bit too big to have been man made! It had white rocks (?) in it and the water was amazingly blue. I just wanted to plunge in - and have been wanting to ever since!!! i seem to think it had some 'health giving' or 'relaxing' properties!! [IMG]
Does anyone remember where this pool was, and is it still there today?
    Thank you, thank you!!!

Type 'Blue Peter Summer Expedition' into Wikipedia as a starting point - there's a chronological list.

When you've found it you could try writing to 'Jim'll Fix It' ;-)

  10. I think it would have been the Pamukkale thermal pools in Turkey.
