I think only Northumberland cc have a supply pool nowadays. I personally only work with agencies, none of whom are in the superan scheme. Are you getting much work? Since half term I've had very little - worse than at any time over the past 12 years.
  2. Luckily I have had a supply post for most of this year but when I applied for the permanent position I got rejected- bah. Do you supply by choice or are you like me unable to get a job that lasts over a year?

I chose to do supply over 10 years ago and it's been great until the past 2 years. I could chose between several schools in the past as I was the only PE specialist. Now there are many NQT's who have to do supply so I assume they get any work there is. I've had only 1 day this week - since half term it's been dreadful. What is your subject?
  4. I'm a primary teacher and so have done very little secondary work. Supply is great until you want a mortgage or consider the lack of pension provision. Do you work agency or do you have your own contacts?
