  1. Around Midlands area
For KS2 class with focus on survival or technology and the future theme
Space centre in Leicester not suitable, and Go Ape too expensive. Stuck now!
    That's it really!

  3. Sorry I don't know the area, but you may likely have people around up there who do forest schools type stuff - down in Devon there are some courses run which centre around den building, fire lighting etc. in woodlands - also across Exmoor for activity days. Contact a few of your local adventure holiday activity type places, they will know people who do stuff, even if they don't cater for it exactly.

This is for the technology bit.

  5. How about Bishops Wood? Have done quite a few trips there on a similar theme, they will cater for a wide age range as well!

  6. Thanks for suggestions
Frustratingly the Desert Island option at Bishops Wood looks perfect - only it is over and hour and half travelling away and doesn't look like it will cater for large class sizes - lax looks 33 and l have more than this.
l had already looked at the Magna but thought it was too far as well
How far would others travel for trips?
    Any other ideas?

What about Snibston Discovery Centre in Coalville? I haven't visited for a while but it used to be known for hands on technology things.

Conkers is an interesting place with lots to do and a range of workshops that can be booked.

  9. Snibston is a possibilty, Amazingly kids appear not to have had trip there, although from memory of going with other schools it's not that riveting. They'll like it though.
Conkers not a possiblility though because of previous trips and cost.
Still looking but thinking not much else suitable in area! Shame Magna too far away.
    Thanks for ideas
