Any ideas for a Year 1 Lifeboat Station Role Play Area?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by missholt, Jun 9, 2011.

  1. Hello,
In Year 1 we are planning to have a lifeboat station role play area. We are going to have a little blow up boat and life ring.
We were wondering if anyone had any other ideas of things to have in there or activities we could put in to develop writing and maths.
    Many thanks.

Telephone and message pad, so they can write down who needs saving!
    Incident forms
Clocks, watches so they can record how long it takes to save someone, or what time the incident was reported.
Life jackets, walkie talkies, binoculars, medical equipment, stretcher, search lights, torches
    Donations box and money
Keep a tally of the number of rescues?!?
Calendar to record the date of incidents
    Maps of the coasts, co-ordinates
    Leaflets from the lifeboat station
