Any idea/ experience of this??

  1. Hey all
Last month we decided to start ttc (yay!! We deliberated for ages). My period was due yesterday and I'm normally regular, I have had all the normal symptoms pre period; spotting, period pains, sore boobs etc. Except I still don't have my period...I don't feel pregnant and haven't had any symptoms. Could I be pregnant and be spotting every day? It's hardly anything and doesn't warrant sanitary towels or anything.... I'm a bit worried that I could be pregnant but am spotting, or something else is up as period hasn't arrived. Any advice??!!

  2. i found asda's own to be sensitive and the were £3.60 for 2.... good luck x

  3. Cheers for the advice, going to head to the shops tomorrow...not been on the pill for a couple of years now and my periods have been regular for about a year now, I reckon it ll be nothing but it is weird that it's all gone a bit different the first month we try. Will keep you posted :)

This happened to me (apart from the spotting)- I was waiting for my period to show up for over a week, having period pains and sore boobs; my baby is now three months old... [IMG]

I had all that too, minus the spotting, in both my pregnancies. This one was really bad, i had cramps, spots (which i never get), couldn't sleep etc. I was convinced I was going to get my period, and then i did a test when it was 2 days late and it was negative, despite claiming to work up to 4 days before a missed period! I guess i must've ovulated really late? Which might explain why my due date was on Saturday and I am still waiting for my baby to make an entrance [IMG]
Some people do have spotting this early on in pregnancy though. I had bleeding early on, like 5-6 weeks, and when i had an early scan the sonographer said it could just be implantation bleeding.

  7. Houston - any luck? Have you tested yet?

  8. Tested about an hour ago....and I'm pregnant!!!!!! And utterly shell shocked! Thanks for all the replies. Im now worrying (as that is what I do best!) about the spotting and whether I shouldnt get too excited. And what to do now...eeek! I cant believe it! xx

Congratulations Houston! Try not to worry about the spotting - if you look on the spring/summer/autumn/winter baby threads, there are loads of people who have early spotitng and are fine. It's fairly normal. I fell first month too, and was absoutely flabbergasted, having convinced myself that I was going to have problems! Enjoy, and huge congratulations!xx

  10. congrats! i had bleeding on and off throughout my pregnancy, and i had brown spotting too. LO is very definitely here and healthy!
what happens now will be an anti-climax. you'll see your GP who'll say "congrats, take folic acid, go away and wait for a midwife's appointment to come through for when you're 9-10 weeks pregnant" and that'll be that for another 5 weeks!!

  11. Huge congratulations! x

  12. Cheers! Slightly random question, but I've just rung up the doctors to
make an appointment and they asked if it was something routine - I said yes as I was standing in my classroom with other members of staff there - but now I wonder should I have said no and got an appointment with someone else? Does it matter?
I would also like to run around my school building and scream about it, but better not hey :)

Yep, it's routine - guess they just want to know if it's emergency, or needs a specialist. I was really disappointed by my docs appt though, as I know most others have been, so don't expect much! Does make it real to tell someone though!
