Hurrah indeed! Today has certainly been 'eventful' with all the various difficulties we've had.
I was getting withdrawal symptoms - feeling a bit panicky!!!
Thank goodness we're back online!
Yeah. I'm on BT and had no broadband half the afternoon too. Made me realise how much I rely on the internet. I'd even bought two new books but not actually downloaded them yet.
Just looking at the members online box - not many logged in - could be a very quiet evening!
Been out at a Governors meeting. What's been going on?
It'll pick up. There were only four when I logged in to start this thread. 13 now.
Site was down - probably for maintenance.
A friend works for BT. Their own internal intranet service fell off its stool earlier today, and 33000 workers were in difficulties. Ruddy technology!
Hello Marlin and Redquilt!
(It's like everyone venturing into daylight at the end of natural disaster film. Look the volcanic eruption/snowstrom/tornado/Godzilla is gone and we survived!)
I blame Rob Titchenor.
That reminds me - I need to send you a PM. Off to type it now ...
I missed this evening's adventures because we had a power cut.
Well actually there was power but so little even the light bulbs only faintly glowed and the energy saver ones (most of them) didn't fire up at all.
My lamp guttered and sooted up briefly so there is a fint hint of soot in the air but at least I have light and internet again now.
What did I miss?
Godzilla attacked TES Towers.
That would have made life interesting there
There was a crack in the space-time continuinuum and TES Towers fell in.
Did Godzilla fall in too?
It's enlightening, when they're having problems with the site, how often one 'pops in for a looksie'!
