Alcohol and pudding just doesn't go.

  1. Does anyone actually like 'desert' wine? I can only have cake/pudding with either black coffee or tea.
Booze and cake just doesn't go together. I don't care what anyone says.

I hate dessert wine, sickly sweet bleurgh stuff.
Dessert is posh though, we call it pudding wine.xx

  4. Yes! I meant 'dessert' and not 'desert'. Obviously.

    Yes, I love it!
From orange muscat to botrytis to tokai to the queen of them all Chateau d'Yquem, they are superb. Also a nice chilled oloroso sherry works with chocolate puddings too.
To go with creme brulee try a blanc de blancs champagne.
Dessert wines are yummy but you need to know how to match the wine to the food, serve it chilled and in small glasses.

A glass of barbadillo and a bitter chocolate pudding is a rare joy

  7. Sorry BDJ - I hate sweet alcohol (apart from limoncello)

Bitter black coffee with pudding, all the way!

If it wasn't for limoncello (proper Roman limoncello) I wouldn't be getting married in September. :)

I will always have a fondness for it.
