Alan Turing - calling all those handy with telly tech!

  1. As soon as C4's "Britain's Greatest Codebreaker" is available on Channel 4 "On Demand", I wonder if anyone here is clever enough to take it and clip out the swear words. It would be amazing to show students, even as part of a PSHE programme.

    Also, what you are suggesting is probably an infringement of copyright.
  3. I can think of a fairly agricultural way of doing it. Connect your source (PC, Wii or whatever is playing 4OD) to your recorder (DVD would work best) using composite RGB. Everytime a swear word comes up (so you need to have seen it once and noted them down) pull out the red and white cables, before plugging them back in again.
    There. Analogue editing at its finest.

  5. It only works if the source has has a mute button - I suppose a lot of laptops do, so fair point [​IMG]
