    Hi lovely people!

Can anyone with a working knowledge of surviving as an educator in Switzerland give me a heads up on a minimum salary/acceptable percentage to spend on rent etc for this lovely part of the world? My understanding is that you will need to spend a third of your pay on rent alone each month, and that although the standard of living is high, so is the cost of it...love to hear any and all thoughts on this, as the job I've been looking at seems ideal :)

Doable, but it also depends if you have dependents or not. The 1/3 of your monthly wage on rent is not a must. A decent school would pay at least 85k/year as a starting salary, that is CHF not Pounds. Good luck!
