Hi! Our MFL department is preparing to organise our schools first spanish language trip to Latin America, after initial investigations we're thinking Costa Rica, Guatemala or Panama. If anyone has any pointers we would greatly appreciate the advice... are there agencies set up to arrange trips of this kind? We'd rather not re-invent the wheel ifsomeone has already done the ground work. Thank you!

I would have thought Mexico was a better trodden path if you need Spanish. Probably easier to get flights etc as well.

However I have never taken kids to South America but if you want to diy the trip then get in touch with Trailfinders (they don't do online, you have to phone them) and see if they can put a package together for you. At least get some prices off them that you can use as a guide.

Direct flights from UK to Spanish-speaking America would suggest Costa Rica and Mexico.

What kind of programme would you want to follow?
