Advice for a wannabe tutor

Discussion in 'Mathematics' started by Madzyr, Jun 28, 2015.

  1. Hi there,

I am a graduate with a particular love of maths/science who is hoping to start tutoring. I am hoping someone can help explain some of the specifics of KS3 maths.

I know KS3 covers years 7, 8 and 9 but I was wondering if there are average levels that children should be obtaining at each year?

Does anyone know of a good resources for explaining exactly what is covered by each level? I have looked at the national curriculum but it's not the easiest to read!

Any further advice, resources, textbook or workbook recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
