a useful whole class resource for approx £300

Discussion in 'Secondary' started by helenpurton, Feb 5, 2012.

  1. Can anyone recommend a useful resource that a year 5 class could all benefit from. we have approx £300 to spend.

Isn't it more usual to identify a need and then find the necessary funds?
  3. What about a maths-themed lending library or "maths bags" (like I understand you can get "book bags" and "story bags")? You could create a class set, each one different, with a Thing and set of suggestions. You could even encourage the borrowers to write in their own suggestions for using the bag. I'm thinking dominoes, playing cards, jacks, dice, times table flash cards, a clock, set of biscuit cutters and recipe cards, pencils and pairs of compasses, toy cars, small Lego set etc.
  4. I got excited then - thinking you were going to tell us about "a useful whole class resource for approx £300"! [IMG]
