    Teaching Assistants

Hello, would you like a coffee?
    Mines with two sugars Please
And as you pass the office
    Could you photocopy these?

Today?s plan is on the table
I?ve put you down with the Blue
They?ve got a number game to play
You?ll have to show them what to do.

    Red group will be painting
So if you could keep an eye?
The paintbrushes just need a rinse,
You can leave them to dry.

Are you all right with that number game?
Good, when you?ve got a mo
    The pencils need a sharpening
And the tape machine wont? go.

The bell?s just gone; Jack?s trying again,
Could you give him a hand?
    And when he?s settled,
Could you put the buckets in the sand?

I?ll go and start the register
    Oh, Lily?s hurt her knee
And could you get some spare trousers-
    Tom?s had a wee.

    I?m doing some assessment work
I must not get it wrong.
When the rest of the class is tidy?
Perhaps you could lead a song?

    Teaching assistant-what a job
Yet you take it in your stride.
    How would we teachers manage
    Without you by our side?

  3. and a version for Secondary!

    Hello, no time for coffee
What kids are on 'The List??
I?ve not got a plan for teaching this
But I?m sure you?ll get the gist

    Today?s we?re doing Shakespeare
No don?t sit down just yet
    Take a seat with Vinnie
Although he stinks of fags and sweat

    That group will be lazy
So if you could keep an eye?
Watch the language doesn?t get too bad,
In case the head walks by.

Are you all right with Pythagoras?
Good, 'cos when you?ve got a mo
I think Jack and Matt are planning a fight
Can you make sure they don?t go.

    And Ryan?s been excluded
Can you write this work for him?
And when you finished all of that
Check for smokers behind the gym

Oh & can you take the register
I?ve got to catch the SMT
I've heard Ste has stolen a load of ale
And is flogging it for 50p.

    I?m doing some important work
You don?t have that do you?!
Hang on, can?t read this writing
What?s the answer to number 2?

Teaching assistant - what a job
Yes we take it in our stride.
    How would the teachers manage?
    They'd probably go and hide!
