Go to a rink. Don't get onto thin ice. You might fall through and get eaten by a piranha.
We went skating down by Bingley five rise locks today. We took a scaffolding tube and failed to drive it through the surface. It was proper solid. I can't see much of a problem if you check the ice first. It took a while to clear the snow off though.
I shall be walking on ice later today. Won't bother with skates though.
Is that the sole reason? Fearful of a flounder in the water? In the wrong plaice at the wrong time? What a ray of sunshine you are, cod almighty!!
No need for all that effot - a simple walk to the shop gives you more opportunity to skate than could possibly be necessary.
Quite right! OK, you might pull a mussel, but a bit of skating could be a whelk-om break. And if your eels slip from under you, you cod always crab onto your friend.
You're guaranteed to have a whale of a time - they may play 'Cod only Knows' by the Beach Buoys while you're skaiting.
