After a stressful 6 months of supply work and job hunting following on from the threat of capability at my previous school I finally found a permanent position.

I just wanted to post this update and to thank everyone on this forum who posted messages of support. I cannot emphasise how much of a lifeline this was during all of the upheaval earlier in the year.

To anyone who is struggling or who feels under threat in their current school: There are better schools out there who will apppreciate you more.

This is a particularly good message to send.
As @caterpillartobutterfly says, we need more of them.
Too many on here think that their bad experience is being replicated in every school across the land.

Congratulations on your new job and thank you for update.

    The very best of luck!

Well done! It isn't easy rebuilding after threats of capability but so glad to hear you have a new job. All the best!

    Absolutely.

There are plenty of schools that are really good places to work - Those having a bad time with rubbish leaders and stupid policies/practices should remember this.

Plus, good teachers are in great demand. If your being treated badly, just leave.

Thanks everyone, it’s great to know there is so much support out there.

It’s very easy to blame yourself initially but I realised over time that I wasn’t the problem.
