A context for ordering decimals?

Anyone got a good context for ordering decimals with top set year 6?

Just ordering sets of numbers is a little tedious, even for me though it isn't my lesson.

measure objects to largest cm/mm (ensuring objects are more than a metre), order the objects largest to smallest. covers 2 objectives then.

  6. i used their cross country times... compared classes times, boys and girls times etc, finding difference; how much faster etc... then moved it on to data handling... presenting and interpret data.

Hmmmm I could do the same if it was my class, but it isn't.

    Great idea though...
