Twice to the gym, @lizgaskell - you could've had treacle pud and custard after your fish and chips!
I'm on my way to a Christmas present Spa Day now, with daughter and daughter-in-law. Really looking forward to it. As well as the pampering and afternoon tea, I will do my best to swim 20 lengths.

I have been feeling very stressed about the current situation.
I decided to go for a walk managed an hour.
Walked to a local Marks and Spencer food outlet and treated my self to some prunes!
Yes, I am a very sad person.
I have not been for a weigh-in but my own scales say I have not put weight on. (4 stone lost and at Target ).

Calorie counting has made a bit of a difference this week but my weight is so erratic that it could jump up again this evening however sensible I am. I'm sticking with it while we're not doing much socialising though. I am Pollyanna.

I’ve been worrying too and have reverted to the old me; eat eat eat. And then have a glass of wine or four. I will go to SW tomorrow (assuming it’s still running) but I know I will have gained and I’ll be miserable so I’ll go home and eat eat eat...:(

SW closed for at least 3 weeks. Trying not to look at this as an opportunity to revert to “old ways”. I’m very sorry for the lovely lady who runs my class and will lose a lot of income from this. Scary times. Stay safe everyone xx

    @Ezzie
There may not be an SW class but do not revert to your old ways. I know it is hard but it is a form of self-harm.
Get as many free foods as you can. If you can prepare soup. Look at recipes that have fewer syns.
Plan your syn intake daily so you know what treats you can have.
Be positive you do not want to put weight on.
I have lost 4 stone and am at target I have 3 pounds up/down with my target. I am trying so hard not to eat my trigger foods
    Be strong

My SW group leader messaged on tuesday to say group was closed for the foreseeable future. A colleague (also a SW member) nipped to the shop to get us some illegal chocolate. Yum! As I bit into my delicious Snickers bar, I broke a back tooth!!!! Emergency dental appointment on Wednesday ... tooth needs a crown. £650 !!!!

    There's karma for you.

    Oh man!

I wasn’t sure what would be happening on this thread tonight. What a nightmare we have all had these last few days?

I cannot even explain what school was like last week to my mostly non-teacher friends but aside from that an desperate to keep fit and healthy so

    • I am from Monday walking to work
    • I have bought some weights for home exercise
    • Have a garden project planned - a veg ploy basically
    • Aim to walk and run whenever possible
    • Vow to get the students I end up looking after our waking circuits of the school
    Continue with MFP

I am stunned about what’s happening and having trouble sleeping and I know I have a huge job on to try and work out to provide meaningful secondary school learning for a core dept remotely

Well, today I have consumed an entire box of Mother's Day Milk Tray, in the certainty that if you eat them quickly, they contain less calories! Or you somehow trick your body into believing they do.
Now, I have to work out a way to stick to a sensible diet and keep active while being indoors for most of the time. I know that there are far more serious matters to worry about at the moment, but I don't want to let everything I've worked for go to pot!!!!! As I will have the time now, I'm planning to experiment with more SW recipes (if I have the ingredients) - and I think I'll join Joe Wicks for his morning exercise session!
    Stay safe and well, everyone.

Hubby and I are currently working our way through a large tub of swizzles sweets we bought for trick or treat last October. We didn’t get any visitors then so I thought I’d put them away for this year (well within use by date). Not sure if hallowe’en will be happening this year so a shame to let them go to waste...

Been walking, it's like a ghost town but I need to keep my joints oiled.
I'm thinking about the ice cream in the freezer which is for my son. I keep hearing it speak to me...
    I'm trying to be strong.

Be strong! Mind you, your mental health is important too so maybe a little bit as a reward...?

I'm doing much more cooking than usual - OH is enjoying cooked breakfast every day (I'm having porridge) then asking when we're having lunch at 11.30! I defrosted the remainder of the Christmas turkey today and made him an enormous turkey casserole. Also made lentil and veg stew for me (I'm veggie). I'm definitely not cut out for this domestic goddess stuff!

Have been for long walk every day and joined Joe Wicks in the morning, so trying to keep up a level of fitness.

I'm eating very carefully as all dental treatment cancelled, so the temporary dressing in my waiting-for-crown-prep broken tooth has to hold out!

    Stay safe and well, everyone.

I've had an "issue" since January . Was booked in for a colonoscopy but it has been cancelled indefinitely and none of the private hospitals are doing the procedure either - so that has saved me 2K - there has to be a silver lining. Apparently I'm getting a letter tomorrow telling me my blood test suggests coeliac disease. So coeliac diet it is. I LOVE BREAD. Cry for me all of you.
I've really been trying to lose weight and My fitness pal really got me started well and the lack of social life has helped too but haven't lost much. The symptoms of bowel cancer always say weight loss and loss of appetite so long may I continue to feel greedy.
    Stay well all xxxx

My son now an adult lives with Coeliac disease he has been on a gluten-free diet for 14 years.
You actually need a definitive answer rather than you may have CD.
If you need any advice ask away.
You don't give up on bread you just have the gluten-free bread. There are so many different makes that you need to find the one that tastes the best for you.

Thanks for your comments @HistoryEducator I'll wait and see what the letter says. Once this NHS crisis is over they will have me in for a gastroscopy but I wont get a definitive answer till then. So much necessary NHS work is being cancelled and Covid19 being prioritised. Watch out for the backlash. While shopping is a problem getting to grips with this might be a problem but we do have good supermarkets and health shops locally. I've PMd you with a query - don't want to hi jack the thread.

I feel for you, @lindenlea. I was also booked in for an investigative procedure which has been cancelled. The only thing we and, I'm sure, thousands of others can do is try to keep as healthy as we can and wait. Stay safe and well.

    @lindenlea
You have to be back on gluten for at least 6-8 weeks before they test you or you have the scope for coeliac disease. No gluten in your diet gives a negative result. Keep that in mind when life eventually returns to some kind of normal.

I have had investigations in January (Long long story) and eventually had the camera down to see if I was celiac luckily it came back negative.
I can tell you about the camera in PM when you get booked in.

    Keep well keep safe
