Tried to get all my chores out of the way early because I'll be so choked to discover we are being led by a blustering, lazy, Trump-clone buffoon, I'll probably have to lie down in a darkened room for the rest of the day.

I suspect his premiership will be short-lived. I can feel it in my gut.

By lamenting the election of someone who is going to drive the country off a cliff? Aye right.

Disappointed to see sister Rachel in attendance with the rest of the clan. She has been quite vocal against no-deal. I did read that she is bullied by Boris, which may explain her presence.

I might even chose to go and traipse round a supermarket (don't anyone tell Mr REMfan!) Bearing the pj clad women in asda choking up the aisles with their feral children will be better than Boris watching.

Good reason to celebrate and make sure you avoid the news all day. Hit the cake and the bottle!

It's the start of the most fabulous six weeks of any teacher's year...no way should a change in PM spoil one's day! Turn the news off and go out somewhere sunny.

Even a general election and change of government shouldn't spoil any teacher's day today.

I'm off to mill about in a lovely air conditioned Waitrose and will catch up on who's who later.
(Cleaning my house in order to host people for supper later is a bigger spoil of the day!)

I just hope he doesn’t place the ghastly and inept Liz Truss anywhere near education. I haven’t forgotten how out of her depth, yet potentially harmful, she was when she was education minister.

Unfortunately, ghastly and inept is his MO.

'Ghastly and inept' appear to have been essential criteria on the person spec for anyone wanting to be education secretary for my entire career...all 23 years of it.

It wasnt unexpected. Why the need to lie down in a dark room all of a sudden?

    UUURGH!!!!

Closer result than I expected. Hunt took it with grace and dignity. Bumbly's acceptance speech is rubbish.
