2 interviews. How to stall politely?

    Hi,

I have 2 interviews coming up. They are on 2 consecutive days, and although they are for the same position, the second school is really the one I prefer. If I am offered the first position, how do I politely ask for time for consider the offer without making the school feel like a second choice?

If you are offered the job you can ask for a day to consider. However, they may then offer it to another candidate.

If I were offered a job and then called back to decline, would that be awful?

Not as long as you didn't accept it first.

Thank you. I thought I had read that article before but I couldn't remember what it was called.
