Something of a rarity today - a free festival (with decent music)

Was 1982 the year that the 'decent music' had to be stopped due to the serious fights between who had rights to sell hard drugs on the site? Was it the year the various biker gangs came armed with chains and shotguns and ran extortion racket security for food sellers and music promoters and then set light to the food vans of those who refused to pay Hells Angel insurance? Happy Daze eh?

Yes apparently at Stonehenge it was awful back in the 80s....According to one of my friends whose dad was selling home made wine at Free festivals the Hells Angel or Bikers demanded a 50% cut and if you disagreed they'd just help themselves to the lot.
Due to being dragged round these risky events that were full of drug addicts, alcoholics, weirdos and people with mental health problems as a kid, he never went to a festival again once he'd left home.

Yes. I believe so. Far more interesting than today's sanitised affairs.

Mr.Puce. This is Stonehenge Free Festival.

Yes. I have another 60 photographs to scan from that event and post in the coming months.

A model much favoured by photog royalty - I've got a couple stashed away in a box for re-sale, and I'm half tempted to keep one.

Those two sitting on the stone to the right of the photo - aren't they Cameron and Osborne?

The E-type of the SLR. So small that you forget you have it on you. The digital models today are so cumbersome in comparison. If you can develop film still, keep it and scan the negatives.

Its Dave's butler opening the champers behind the stones so he doesn't have to share it with the crusties

I shouldn't do that if I were you. They'll end up in some poxy online commercial photo library.
