1920-1939 Topic

  2. Ok so these are my ideas so far (I think I Will have to teach the topic for about 7 weeks)
    A
    dance - The charlston/lindy hop - I have sent some emails to some dance
    companies in my local area. Hopefully they will get back to me soon.
    SOng - Bad guys - Bugsy Malone - not england I know but from the 20s anyway.
    Learning about: schools and school life, playground games.
    Home - electricity being introduced into homes. For a DT link . make mantles (gas lamps)
    Games that would be played outside of school, things familes did together,
    Jobs - lack of jobs, great depression.
    Looking a local area - cotton mills, possibly a visit to a local one
    Maps of local area from 1920s and now, see difference
    diseases - tuberculois, scurvy, rickets

    any more ideas that people have then I would be grateful
