All the reasons may well be valid - but since when does any Government listen to evidence or counter-argument when they want to impose their ideology?
And even if it it is eventually left by the wayside, I wonder how many schools (who previously resisted becoming academies) will have already committed themselves to doing so, preferring to have a choice now rather than be forced in a few years. So the end result may well be the same.
