Hi finding it really difficult to find this out as all the different calculators show me completely different totals. Was wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea of the monthly take home pay if doing a 0.6 (top of pay scale and with a student loan and pension). Many thanks.

    Hi there,

My calculations show the take home pay would be £1358.59

    Gross income per month £1788.08
    Pension deduction (7.2%) £128.74
Tax - £140.20 (assuming you haven't claimed any extras in your tax code - GTCS fees, Union subs, PE clothes washing, etc.)
    National Insurance - £132.93
    Student Loan (Assuming Plan 1) - £27.62

Hi, I too am going down to 0.6 in September. I'm on M6 and have pension and student loan. Is the information above for someone on M6 or upper pay scale does anyone know?
