My head has asked me to increase my hours from 0.5 to 0.6. How long should I get for PPA if I do it?
I work 3 days a week and get 1hour and 30 mins Ppa
I get the same and I work 3 days too.
You may have found that you were already over on PPA on 0.5.
It is often difficult to get exactly right amount of PPA when part time due to the length of time of teaching periods . In my school 0.5 of 30 periods , i.e.15 periods should give 1.5 PPA periods so they go up to 2 periods rather than down to 1.
Based on this going to 0.6 would mean 1.8 PPA periods so it would stay at 2 periods .
You're lucky you get some! In Scotland you get no PPA time out of class if you work part time.
It is my understanding you are entitled, but not limited, to 10%. So as PP said 0.06, but there is no cap so you could be given more should it fit in with the timetable (hopeful I know!)
